HKS and Nobuteru Taniguchi return to the D1 Grand Prix Professional Drifting Series
After a 2 year hiatus from the D1 Grand Prix Professional Drifting Series, HKS, the premier manufacturer of automotive performance systems and International driving sensation, Nobuteru (No One Better) Taniguchi will return to the D1 GP series this season for a limited number of events. Confirmed participation will be on April 26 & 27 at the Fuji Speedway Racing Course and June 7 & 8 at the Odaiba Special course in the NOP District of Tokyo; additional dates to be announced and are subject to change.
After establishing numerous track records with the HKS CT230R Time Attack Evo, HKS and Nob have switched their motorsports focus towards drifting and the D1 Grand Prix with the HKS YOKOMO Racing Performer IS220-Z and IS220-R. Though the IS220-Z and IS220-R have been track-tested through various exhibition and demonstrations runs, they have been refreshed and further improved upon for the 2008 D1GP season.
